How we work
- Identifying areas where literacy, spiritual and leadership needs are required and provide support through training, distribution of Bibles and social upliftment projects eg. providing water pumps to hungry communities;
- Working through local churches and church-based / Christian partners to seek out and help the most vulnerable groups
- We operate through local churches wherever we can, training and equipping them and helping them to rebuild their communities. They are on the ground and they stay there. They can identify the greatest need in a place.
- We believe that churches are the most powerful local network for God’s love to reach people in poverty and that churches care for the whole person, inside and out. This makes sustainable and transformational change for an individual and a community possible.
- We try to stay invisible. We believe in teaching people to love God and others so that they themselves will be able to name their own needs and recognize their own strengths and find their OWN SOLUTIONS to problems.
- We are advocates for justice. We campaign in South Africa and other parts of the world for just systems to support people holistically.
- We are professional and accountable. We are registered as a non-profit corporation and are audited annually by the Receiver of Revenue and have tax clearance with the Receiver of Revenue.
- We use your money carefully. For every rand that Love Wins Africa receives, 90 cents goes to our long term development, training and various projects. All our spending is overseen by the Receiver of Revenue.
