What we believe

Love Wins Africa is a Christian organization. We’re passionate about living out God’s kingdom values of love, hope and transformation.
It’s what inspires and drives us.

How we work

We love God and love people so that others can love God and love people. We aim to help the people of Africa holistically, regardless of race, religion, gender or nationality. If you choose to support our work, that’s what your money will be going towards. We achieve this by:

  • Identifying areas where literacy, spiritual and leadership needs are required and provide support through training, distribution of Bibles and social upliftment projects eg. providing water pumps to hungry communities;
  • Working through local churches and church-based / Christian partners to seek out and help the most vulnerable groups
  • We operate through local churches wherever we can, training and equipping them and helping them to rebuild their communities. They are on the ground and they stay there. They can identify the greatest need in a place.
  • We believe that churches are the most powerful local network for God’s love to reach people in poverty and that churches care for the whole person, inside and out. This makes sustainable and transformational change for an individual and a community possible.
  • We try to stay invisible. We believe in teaching people to love God and others so that they themselves will be able to name their own needs and recognize their own strengths and find their OWN SOLUTIONS to problems.
  • We are advocates for justice. We campaign in South Africa and other parts of the world for just systems to support people holistically.
  • We are professional and accountable. We are registered as a non-profit corporation and are audited annually by the Receiver of Revenue and have tax clearance with the Receiver of Revenue.
  • We use your money carefully. For every rand that Love Wins Africa receives, 90 cents goes to our long term development, training and various projects. All our spending is overseen by the Receiver of Revenue.

What we care about

We care about PEOPLE and their right to dignity, education and spiritual care.

We care about CHILDREN. Millions of children grow up trapped in poverty and fear. Their lives are dramatically influenced by abuse, war, HIV, homelessness or the loss of parents. We care about providing physical and emotional security and the chance to fulfill their God-given potential.

We care about WOMEN. We believe all women in Africa should have the right to basic education and literacy. We do this by using the Bible in training ladies to read and write. Through entrepreneurial projects we help foster a sense of dignity amongst the ladies enabling them to provide for themselves and their families.

We care about the LOCAL CHURCH and believe it is the hope of the world. Our strategy is to see local leadership empowered. We aim to help them to become relevant and biblically honest local expressions of Christ’s body (the local church) multiplied in close proximity to every man, women and child in our sphere of influence. We plant churches through training and evangelism.

We care about the WHOLE PERSON. As a 60 year old lady exclaimed with joy! “I can read I can read… I can now find my own transport and teach my grandchildren to read and write too!” Or as the husband who abused his wife proclaims: “I abused and mistreated my family leaving them without food. After finding Christ through training, my life was transformed!” Or the lady who sold so many crafts that she could hire her own workers to work her fields and provide for the whole family abundantly.

We care about EDUCATION. There are currently 75 million primary school-aged children around the world who are not in school. Many of our projects focus on the causes behind children missing out on education, or ensure that education can continue.

We care about LIFE’S ESSENTIALS such as hungry people. Enough food is produced globally to feed everyone and yet about 1 in 8 go hungry every day. We help communities with water pumps and seed to sustain not just their families but a whole village. We care about people having clean water.
